Christians tend to refer to any nonbeliever as a pagan, usually with the word carrying a negative connotation. Paganism usually refers to any religion other than the three mainstream ones, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, and usually, in particular, those that predate Christianity.

Heathenry

Norse Paganism practitioners often identify as Heathens and refer to their faith generally as ‘Heathenry’ as an homage to the old ways before the spread of Christianity. The term is also used to refer to an extensive range of modern religions that are related to polytheistic Northern European worship.
